Practices for Shorter, More Cost-Effective Turnarounds helps improve how organizations implement their turnaround projects by presenting key learnings and Best Practices for turnaround planning and execution. Findings are based on quantitative analysis of over 325 turnarounds executed worldwide, and represent a wide cross-section of the chemical and petrochemical industries. The program presents practices from IPA's quantitative research into the drivers of turnaround effectiveness as measured by: safety, shorter duration, smoother startups, lower capital and maintenance costs and more predictable costs and schedules. This course is officially registered with the Project Management Institute (PMI), allowing attendees to easily claim 14 Professional Development Units (PDUs) upon completion of the course.

Details Specific to this Program Event

Practices for Shorter, More Cost-Effective Turnarounds will be instructed by IPA Project Analysts Rafael Pittaluga and Carlos Flesch. The cost of this course includes all applicable Brazilian taxes. Registration cost also includes lunch and materials. Dress is business casual. This 2 day course is designed to communicate IPA's definitive research on turnaround of capital projects to the attendees in a variety of ways. The format uses discussion and illustrative case examples to demonstrate and document the salient concepts. Facilitated discussions with other attendees will allow learning among peers to be shared, as well.
