Sonia Kaestner
Sonia Kaestner is currently the Director of the IPA Institute, the company's research and education division. In this capacity, Sonia manages the worldwide execution of the Institutes’ project management seminars, accreditation processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Sonia joined IPA in 1993 as an IPA Analyst. In this role, she evaluated a significant number of projects for multiple IPA downstream and upstream clients. She led IPA’s Latin American expansion and numerous benchmarking studies for companies such as Kodak, Pemex, PDVSA, and Petrobras. Her professional experience also includes multiple leadership positions in strategic planning, M&A, finance, and operations at the Corporate Headquarters and Aerospace Division of United Technologies Corporation.
In addition, Sonia has several years of technical experience as a safety design engineer at ESSA, and as an independent contractor for many projects in the United States. Sonia holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Ricardo Palma University and a Masters in Business Administration from Georgetown University.
